Troubleshooting:
If the overhead camera is not working, and you get an error message (No Video Hardware Detected), then look for a small grey box on the desk next to the camera stand. It is the hardware codec converter box. Make sure the (power button) is on, and the (analog-in) button is lit green.
Using the Scanner
If shooting a scene with the high speed scanner, then click on camera icon in the window, or choose (File)>(Scan).
In the options Box, Then make sure you are starting on Frame 1/Level1 Hold(whatever you choose as per your timing).
Check Rotation (None). Note: The setting get changed from time to time due to different users preferences, you may need to adjust these as necessary).
If you are scanning a Background element, then check (Auto Hold). This will expose the drawing for the entire length of the scene.
Click (Acquire).
An options Box will appear: Click on (Standard) in the top part of the window for doc type).
Then click on Original Scan Method: (ADF) Automatic Document Feeder.

Orig. Orientation :Short Edge
Orientation: 180 Deg.
Scan Settings 1 sided (Front)
Put the entire stack of animation in the doc feeder, with your first drawing on top. The drawings should face up, and the peg holes should face to the right. This is the opposite way than you usually flip a scene.
Click (PREVIEW) to make sure it looks like you want it. Check your settings one more time.
Then replace the drawing back on the stack and press (SCAN).
The drawings will begin to appear on your x sheet.
Troubleshooting:
If an error message pops up and says (Twain error has occurred), then the software is not locating the scanner, or the scanner driver, or scanner is not present. Notify tech support at tsupport@scad.edu.
